Japanese-Style Mushroom Pasta 🍄🍝

Mushroom Pasta Main Course

One of my favorite easy pasta dishes is Japanese-Style Mushroom Pasta.
It’s packed with delicious flavors from soy sauce, butter, garlic, bacon, and mushrooms. It’s also very easy to make, making it perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner at home.

Ingredients are: Green onion leaves, Pasta, enokidake & shimeji mushrooms, bacon, garlic, butter, soy sauce, white or black pepper.

How to Make It:

Start by chopping the green onion leaves and garlic. Slice the bacon into small pieces.
Trim the roots from the enoki and shimeji mushrooms, then separate the mushroom stems.

Cook the pasta in boiling salted water according to the package instructions. Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and set it aside. Keep a little of the pasta water—you’ll use it later.

In a frying pan, melt some butter over medium heat. Add the bacon and cook it for a little while until it becomes slightly crispy and the butter is nicely flavored.

Add the chopped garlic and mushrooms, then sauté for a few minutes. Add a little soy sauce and season with white or black pepper, whichever you have.

Add the cooked pasta and a little of the reserved pasta water. Toss everything together until the sauce lightly coats the pasta.

Transfer to a plate and, of course, finish it with a garnish of chopped green onion leaves.

And that’s it! So simple and so delicious. 😋

If you make this pasta, feel free to adjust the amount of soy sauce according to your taste.
A little more soy sauce gives it an extra savory Japanese flavor! 🍄🥢
